Boston Headshot and Modeling Photography by Walpole Headshot and Modeling Photographer, Dan Busler {Vedic Image Group, Ty Smith}
I had the pleasure to photograph a styled shoot with Najaam Lee of The Vedic Image Group and model Ty Smith on a cool Wollaston Beach April morning.
The temperature was still too cool for the tourists to hit the beach so we actually found parking right on the beach. A few weeks later and it would have been a totally different story!
It was a blast to work with Najaam and her staff. As much as Ty tried to give us "nothing but attitude" ... he kept breaking up and those were some of the best shots of the day.

Norwood First Communion Photography by Walpole Portrait Photographer, Dan Busler, St Catherine of Siena
I've been honored to photograph a number of First Communion celebrations and each is a look at a special day when children realize their religion is tangible.
Oh, I don't mean that suddenly they are totally enlightened and want to become clergy ... HA! No, I see it in their eyes - they "get it" - their religion is all their's to believe.
The First Communion celebration at St Catherine of Siena in Norwood MA is spread over four days because they have so many children in the class. It was a massive event! and I loved being there.

Norwood High School Theatrical Photography by Walpole Theatrical Photographer, Dan Busler {Performance}
Each year, beginning just a few days after the school year ends, the rehearsals for the Fall show begins for the drama students at Norwood High School in Norwood, MA.
This is their summer vacation, because this is what they love to do.
Yes, they go on their family vacations and work their summer jobs, but when they aren't somewhere else, they are rehearsing.
Here is a look at the 2012 - 2013 season, the plays aren't in order.
Oh, yea... you better grab a cup of coffee and find a comfy chair, cause this fusion slideshow video is 12 ( yes twelve) minutes long.
And by the end of the video you too will understand why this is one great group of actors.

One Fund Boston Photography by Walpole Photographer, Dan Busler, A Photothon
The tragedy of the bombings at the 2013 Boston Marathon left all of us in Boston at a loss. The six degrees of separation were shattered as we spoke to friends and neighbors only to find that every family was touched in some way. Either by knowing someone who was injured or killed or who was involved with the capture of the bombers.
I was totally lost as to how would I help? My Daughter came up with the idea of a PhotoThon - an event where we would photograph people in Boston team sports gear or clothing for a donation and then all the money would go directly to the One Fund Boston ( this is the fund that was set up immediately after the marathon by Boston's Mayor Menino and Governor Patrick). My Daughter and her husband (who are professional photographers based in Beverly Hills, CA) would hold an event there and I would hold mine here in Boston on the same day.
It happened! and was a huge success.
Here are a few of the images from the Boston event.
