Boston Portrait Photography by Walpole Portrait Photographer, Dan Busler

Sometimes the moments of our lives happen and it's all we can do to just "live in the moment"
Our memories soon blur and begin to fade away.
But a photograph waits patiently, it lets us catch up so that we might see all of life's precious moments ... the ones that we might otherwise have missed.

Norwood MA Theatrical Photography by Walpole MA Theatrical Photographer, Dan Busler {Hamlet}

To Be ... or Not to Be ? Now isn't that really the question?

And if you're going to put on a play ... then go for it and do Hamlet!

Hamet is bold and dry and funny and ... well Shakespeare! And the student actors at Norwood High did an excellent job.

Like I said ... To Be or not to be... and the cast of this Hamlet "Was ".. epic!

Westwood Bat Bar Mitzvah Photography by Walpole Bar Bat Mitzvah Photographer, Dan Busler

I recently had the honor to photograph Shelly H's Bat Mitzvah celebration .
I will not try to explain the importance of the Bat Mitzvah in a young girl's life. I will leave that to those who have had their Bat Mitzvah

But I can tell you that the party which follows the holy ceremony rocks!

Tons of family and friends gather and have a great time.

But when it's also the girl's birthday as this event was ... well the party is extra special !
The master of ceremonies at the event is in control and must keep the party alive. This is like the ultimate example of pacing, with games and dances scheduled throughout the evening.

Shelly's Bat Mitzvah / Birthday was epic ... to say the least.

Norwood Choir Performance Photography by Walpole Musical Performance Photographer, Dan Busler {Norwood Alumni Choir}

The Norwood Alumni Choir held their annual Christmas Concert on December 23, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood MA.

The choir is made up of almost fifty former students at Norwood High School and this year was directed by Daniel Mahoney, a 2007 graduate.

These events remind us of the important things and I'm already looking forward to next year!

A highlight of the evening was when former choir director; now Director of Fine Arts, Cathy Connor-Moen joined the choir to direct a number.

Providence RI Event Photography by Walpole Event Photographer, Dan Busler {Regency Plaza Apartments}

The Regency Plaza Apartments in Providence Rhode Island recently held their annual Holiday Party for the staff and guests.

The food (which was almost all prepared in house) was fabulous, the entertainment was great, the atmosphere was lively and I was there to capture it all.

Norwood High School Theatrical Photography by Walpole Theatrical Photographer, Dan Busler {Live Performance}

Norwood High School presented Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog - which was taken from the Emmy winning, All-Star ... cult followed production written by Joss and Jed Whedon ( they're really famous!).

The show ... or "sing-along blog"  is about Dr. Horrible, Penny, Captain Hammer ( said with a super hero echo) and lots of crazy characters.

As you look at the pictures from the show I dare you to figure it all out!

It truly was a fabulous production which was directed by Norwood High alumnus, Ian Cardoni.

Norwood Musical Performance Photography by Walpole Musical Performance Photographer, Dan Busler {Dream Secoya aka Sean Regan}

I was fortunate to catch ... and photograph a recent performance by Dream Secoya aka Sean Regan at Perks Coffee Shop in Norwood MA (December 13, 2012)

Sean played material from his current album and a few from his new album which will be completed soon.

The coffee shop performance circuit is alive, but saddly not well attended.

Think back to the days of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Bruce Springsteen ... yea, I've seen Bruce perform in a coffee shop. Back when he was driving across the bridge from NJ into PA with his band in an old station wagon for a gig. The next year he was on the cover of Time and Newsweek and everything changed.

You see, the venue, small as it may be is often a launching pad for an entertainer.

 So let's hope that one day we can smile and remember that night when we saw Sean Reagan in a little coffee shop.  I know that he will never forget the friends who came out to see him
